Welcome to the her story remix of the remix featuring the Six Wives of Henry the Eighth in their historical portraiture clothing with a bit of a modern twist from the musical costumes.
Catherine Parr had been widowed twice prior to her marriage to Henry and through a long series of events became established in Mary I (daughter of Catherine of Aragon and King Henry)'s household. She had a relationship with Thomas Seymour, the brother of Jane Seymour, but caught the attention of Henry and became betrothed to the King. Highly educated, Catherine published a volume of work with psalms and prayers where the "A Prayer for the King" was adopted into the Book of Common Prayer still used to this day. Upon Henry's death, she married Thomas Seymour and gave birth to Mary Seymour. She died shortly after due to complications of childbirth. A very vibrant and intellectual pioneer, she is a pivotal figure that gained momentum for the English Reformation and the ruling of Elizabeth I.
